Our mission
We are committed to eradicating rabies through targeted and impactful actions. Our mission is to vaccinate over 70% of community dogs in Himachal Pradesh and other regions of India, effectively breaking the chain of rabies transmission. We aim to educate children and communities in both urban and rural areas about rabies prevention, responsible animal interactions, and timely treatment. By fostering community engagement, enhancing access to vaccination programs, and promoting awareness campaigns, we strive to create a safer, healthier environment for humans and animals, moving closer to a rabies-free India.
Our vision
Our vision is to achieve a rabies-free India by fostering a comprehensive, collaborative, and sustainable approach to eliminate rabies-related deaths. This includes widespread vaccination of dogs, ensuring access to post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for all, and raising public awareness about prevention and early treatment. By integrating efforts across public health, veterinary, and community sectors, we aim to eradicate human rabies transmitted by dogs by 2030, aligning with global targets. Our mission also emphasizes education, improved infrastructure, and policy-driven initiatives to address challenges in surveillance, reporting, and response, ensuring the safety and well-being of both humans and animals.
